Drawing + Painting Made Easy – Magical Animals (5 – 8 years)
Drawing and Painting Made Easy is a fun and fast-paced drawing and painting experience for young children. The 1.5-hour skills development workshop will see participants aged 5 - 8 years invent, draw and paint a magical animal onto a canvas. This workshop is specifically designed to introduce young children to drawing and painting processes and techniques. Each participant will discover a series of simple steps to create fun and interesting artworks.

Drawing Master Class – Animals in Coloured Pencil (8 – 12 years)
An essential workshop for young artists looking to develop their skill in the art of drawing with coloured pencils. During this 2-hour masterclass participants will learn how to set-up and draw an animal using pencil on rag paper. Participants will learn how to see and draw a detailed illustration using shading, blending and texturing techniques with coloured pencils. No experience necessary.

During this three-hour sewing extravaganza participants will make their very own pair of pajama pants to keep and take home. Exploring techniques in fashion and design, participants will learn a complete set of sewing basics to help them on their path to making and wearing their own clothing. No experience necessary.

Kids Get Crafty: School Holiday Workshop - Elmer The Elephant (2 - 5 years)
Workshop Theme: Elmer the Elephant
Workshop Description: Inspired by David McKee’s colourful creation 'Elmer', Kids Get Crafty brings a 2 hour workshop based on the original storybook and illustrations.
Join your child as they create a herd of patterned elephants, a moving parts picture and a gorgeous tote bag.
No prior experience necessary.
As this is an extended class, we will break midway for some games and refreshments to allow for little attention spans.

Workshop Theme: The Singing Mermaid
Workshop Description: Inspired by Julia Donaldson’s classic creation, The Singing Mermaid, Kids Get Crafty brings a 2 hour workshop based on the original storybook and illustrations by Lydia Monks. Join your child as they give a mermaid a beautiful beaded hairstyle, create a moving parts circus scene and decorate a wooden jewellery/treasure box.
No prior experience necessary.

Workshop Description: This 6-hour workshop is designed specifically for students looking to enter specialist high school art programs. Participants can expect to develop their creative thinking processes and art-making techniques in preparation for sitting the visual arts Gifted And Talented Examination (GATE) workshop.
Throughout the workshop, students will be led through various exercises designed to hone creative processes and strengthen each student's unique approach to art-making.

Workshop Description: This is a technique development masterclass for students looking to learn and/or advance their skill in the art of drawing natural landscapes.
Students attending the workshop will learn about concepts to form traditional landscape drawings, including the use of atmospheric perspective. They will be shown, through demonstration and examination of reference artworks, how variation in the depth of detail and tone applied creates depth. This project will involve an introduction to techniques, the initial landscape sketch, and the application of loose, light tone in the background; followed by a focus on increasing tone and detail towards the landscape foreground. Participants can expect to learn:

Over the 2-hour workshop participants can expect to practice their design and construction skills to create Collaged Rainbow Mobiles, sculpting and assemblage skills to make a Loose Parts Milkshake with crafted doughnut and macaron, and painting and pouring technique to make a delicious (but entirely in-edible) Soft Sculpture Ice Cream Sundae.

Workshop Description: The traditional approach of imitating a master’s techniques and honing prior artistic skills has been used by artists around the world for centuries. In this workshop, students will replicate this approach by creating acrylic paintings of famous portraits that were painted by the great masters in art history. This workshop will teach students about the bold choices made by various famous artists to paint expressive portraiture, over realism. Students will learn to understand the importance of mood in a portrait through colour, application of the brushstroke, style and imaginative techniques used by the artist. Techniques taught include:
